Delegates must be over 18, have good hearing and eyesight and be able to judge distances, heights and clearances & HGV Class 2,or 3

  • Operate the crane safely, Use a Safe System of Work, Plan the Lift
  • Understand Hazards & Risks

  • Types of hydraulic cranes and attachments
  • Function of the controls safely, Hazards & Risk assessment
  • Positioning and preparing for work & Implement a Safe System of Work
  • Lifting and loading, Moving of Loads and Ground Conditions
  • Types of lifting accessories and their safe use, Safe Working Loads & Angles
  • Methods of Slinging, Choke Hitch, Basket and Angle Loading
  • Recognising defects in equipment and Reporting of Defects


LGS Training Course & Site Safety books& SWL Charts supplied, Delegates will be required to complete a written assessment (Multi Choice Questions) and Demonstrate by means of Practical Exercises, Controlled and use of the equipment.
